About Collin's Outdoor Services Co.

Pearl Street's brick storefronts throw long shadows by mid-September, and the little terrace strips between sidewalk and curb turn scruffy the moment nobody is watching. Collin's Outdoor Services Co. watches — mowing, trimming and edging around La Crosse, treating the small awkward patches as carefully as the wide open ones. Downtown lawns come in odd shapes, interrupted by driveways and hydrants and old stone steps, and getting them right is mostly a matter of caring about corners. Autumn light here is low and long; it makes a freshly cut border look almost drawn. Nothing dramatic, just a block that reads a little better than it did that morning.
