Snow removal

About Snow removal

The business is called Snow removal, which in a lake town is less a name than a weather report. Kewaunee's streets climb from the harbor up to the bluff, and every one of those little grades becomes a problem when the wind loads them overnight. This is the outfit that unloads them again, plowing driveways and lots so the day can begin on schedule. No flourish to it: blade down, pass, backdrag, next address. There is a kind of grace in a service that announces itself only by the absence of snow.
