About Winter Services - Kenosha, WI

On the coldest mornings the lake steams — sea smoke drifting over the water below the Third Avenue bluff while the thermometer hangs near zero. Winter Services - Kenosha, WI works that weather for a living, plowing drives and lots, clearing walkways and entries, and spreading salt where meltwater runs and freezes back. Storms reach this city two ways, in narrow bands off the lake or as wide fronts marching across the state, and the shovel work is what makes either one manageable. The town looks extraordinary right afterward: everything white, everything hushed, and the pavement already black. That is the whole ambition, honestly.
