Lawn & Order of Kenosha

About Lawn & Order of Kenosha

Everything about this work comes down to lines. At Washington Park the banked oval holds its own geometry, and a few blocks away Lawn & Order of Kenosha is laying down geometry of a different kind — mower passes squared to the house, trimmer work following the fence, bed edges drawn like a pencil rule. Low western sun in late afternoon throws a shadow off every clean line, which is when a day's work is easiest to read. The names on the mailboxes change street to street; the standard does not. Order in a yard is simply care that somebody bothered to make visible.
