Lawn Envy

About Lawn Envy

July in Uptown: bungalow after bungalow, deep narrow lots, porch fans turning, and the smell of cut grass hanging in air the lake has already cooled. Lawn Envy keeps these yards on a rhythm the grass can count on — mowing, trimming around the clothesline poles and the hydrangeas, edging where turf wants to creep over the sidewalk seam. A city lot leaves nowhere to hide, so the finish has to hold up from the porch, the alley and the street all at once. Later in the year the cleanups strip the beds back and hand the yard over to fall. The name is a joke the neighbors are welcome to make true.
