Bruce's tree service

About Bruce's tree service

Snow off Lake Superior finds Iron River early and stays late, piling onto the jack pine until the branches bow toward the road. Bruce's tree service works with that north-country weight — tree removal when a leaning trunk has become a question mark over a roof, trimming and pruning to take the sail out of a crown before the next blow. Storm damage cleanup up here can mean fallen limbs lifted off a driveway at first light so somebody can get out to the highway. The satisfaction is in the quiet afterward: sawdust settling, the wood stacked where it was asked for, the pines standing straighter than they did the day before. It is plain saw work for a village where the forest starts at the edge of the yard.
