Witt Lawncare

About Witt Lawncare

Holmen sits where Halfway Creek slips out of the coulees and drifts toward the Black River, and the bluffs on either side decide what kind of morning the village gets. Witt Lawncare works to that rhythm — mowing, trimming and edging through the long green stretch when the Driftless hills hold the humidity until well past dusk, then snow removal once the first hard wind comes down the valley. There is a particular pleasure in a lawn cut clean along a Holmen sidewalk, the edge running as straight as the ridgeline above it. There is a particular pleasure, too, in a driveway scraped down to bare blacktop while the streetlights are still burning and the rest of the village hasn't stirred. Yards, walks and drives, tended in July heat and in the blue hour of a January plow run — the same ground, looked after all the way around the year.
