RoseClade

About RoseClade

December light over the Whitnall Park treeline is thin and short, and by four in the afternoon Greendale is dark enough that the plows already run with headlights on. RoseClade works only that half of the year — plowing driveways and parking areas, opening walks and entries, spreading salt and ice melt where shade keeps the pavement frozen all day long. Storms here can begin as rain and finish as glaze, which is the version that puts people down on the concrete. The measure of the work is plain: dry pavement, clear steps, nothing to think about on the way to the car. Snow falls all night; the morning belongs to somebody, and it belongs to this.
