Spring Green

About Spring Green

April in Green Bay is a negotiation — three warm days, one cold rain, and then a morning when the whole yard has turned over to green. Spring Green works the growing half of the year: mowing on a set rotation, trimming around trees and posts, edging the walks, and cleanups at either end of the season. There's a specific pleasure in that first cut, when the mower finds an even line and the lawn suddenly looks like somebody lives there. From that week until the leaves come down, the grass never gets to run ahead of the schedule. Short season, full attention paid.
