Prime Tree Service

About Prime Tree Service

The Milwaukee River drops over the limestone ledge at Grafton and keeps going beneath the Bridge Street span, past the old lime kilns and the cottonwoods rooted into the rock. Prime Tree Service works the streets above it, pruning boulevard hardwoods, trimming what has grown into a porch roof or out over the Interurban Trail fenceline, removing the ones that split at the union in the last big blow. Ozaukee County storms track in off the lake and roll out across the county, and the morning after goes to lifting limbs off garages and opening driveways before people leave for work. Village lots allow no room for error, so trees come apart in measured pieces and land precisely where they were meant to. Afterward: the walk swept, the lawn combed out, one more patch of open sky over the river town.
