About Paul Jaffke Services llc

North of the village the subdivisions give out into working fields, and in April you can smell both at once — cut grass on one side of the road, turned soil on the other. That first mow of the year is the best day on Paul Jaffke Services llc's calendar: the machine loud after a quiet winter, the grass pale and eager, the lines going down straight for the first time since October. After that it's every week, plus the trimming and edging that make a cut look intended rather than merely done. Grafton lawns drink up a lot of spring rain as storms roll in from the west, so timing the cut matters nearly as much as the cut. The work runs through Grafton, Saukville, Cedarburg and Port Washington.
