Elysium Landscapes

About Elysium Landscapes

Snow arrives in this corner of Walworth County sideways, hurried across the open drumlin fields west of Lake Como, and it never asks what time it is. Elysium Landscapes answers on those nights — plow down, salt ready, the long farm-road driveways opened one careful pass at a time. Clearing is the whole of the winter work here, and doing one thing means doing it all the way, down to the last apron of ice at the end of a walk. By morning the mailbox stands over bare blacktop and the drifts are pushed back where they belong, banked off along the shoulder. There is real satisfaction in a place that could have been stranded and simply isn't.
