About Scott's Landscape & Excavating

Winter is serious business north of the St. Croix — twenty below on a still January morning, and the banks along Highway 35 stacked up past the mailbox tops. Scott's Landscape & Excavating handles both ends of the Frederic year: plowing drives and yard turnarounds, shoveling walks and salting steps through the cold months, then mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups once the frost finally lets go. Country places up here have long approaches, and a drive that is not opened by morning is a day nobody leaves. Getting it wide and clean down to the gravel is the point — not a path, a driveway. By June the same properties want that same care in green, and they are there for it.
