Phoenix Snow Removal

About Phoenix Snow Removal

A clipper coming down out of Canada usually reaches this corner of Walworth County somewhere around two in the morning — dry, fast and unfriendly. Phoenix Snow Removal is up for it, plowing drives and lots in Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, shoveling steps and walks, and treating the slick runs where a grade drops toward the water. Working in the dark means the route is timed backward from when people need to leave, not forward from when the snow quits. There is a particular quiet at four in the morning on a finished street: banks squared, salt down, nothing left to do. By breakfast nobody thinks about it, which is exactly the idea.
