About Yard Dog Stump Grinding and Tractor Services

Autumn opens up the country around Fond du Lac — the corn comes off the fields toward Oakfield and Van Dyne, and all at once you can see the fencelines again, the brush, the stump left where a box elder finally gave up on a windy spring. Yard Dog Stump Grinding and Tractor Services shows up for exactly that work: grinding stumps below grade until there is nothing left but chips and a place to seed grass, cutting back brush, mowing rough lots, moving material and smoothing ground behind the tractor. The land here was arranged by ice, and the moraine gravel and fieldstone it left sit close under the sod, ready to find a bucket edge sooner or later. Work like this is mostly about making room. A yard grows by exactly the size of whatever was in the way, and by November the whole place stands open to the sky again.
