About Thelen Bros

The storms that matter here cross open cornfields with nothing to slow them, and by two in the morning the wind is stacking snow into ridges over the county roads outside Elkhorn. Thelen Bros goes out into that — plow lights, blowing white, drives and walkways opened one after another so the town can leave for work at seven. Then the season turns, the shoulders green up, and the same trucks come back for mowing, trimming and edging. Both jobs get measured the same way: whether the place looks right and works right when they pull away from the curb. Elkhorn and the communities around it are where they run.
