About Highwood Landscaping

East of Edgerton the land runs in long low ridges left by the ice, and the yards up on them get more sun, more wind and thinner soil than the ones down in the valley. Highwood Landscaping mows and maintains lawns across that ground, cutting a little higher on the exposed crowns so the grass holds moisture through a dry July. Trimming and edging tighten up the borders, and beds get weeded and mulched so they hold their shape against the wind. Fall and spring cleanups clear the ridge yards of what blows in from the open fields. Standing on a finished lawn up there, you can see half the river valley — and the yard under your feet looks every bit as considered as the view.
