About Wurzer Lawn & Snow LLC

There is a week each March when the ice goes out of Dells Pond and Eau Claire hangs between its two seasons — plow banks still gray in the corners, first green already showing on the south-facing yards. Wurzer Lawn & Snow LLC lives on both sides of that week. Warm months mean mowing, trimming, edging and the cleanups that open and close the growing season; cold months mean plowing, clearing walks, and ice control on the drive before daylight. Keeping the same property all year builds a kind of memory for it — where the drift lands, where the grass thins, which corner stays wet into June. Whatever the sky is doing over the valley, the yard is accounted for.
