The farms north of DeForest were laid out by Norwegian settlers, and their names are still on the township roads and the country church signs. Viking Lawns mows across that open country and inside the village both, with weekly cuts, trimming close around the posts, edges along walks and drives, and clippings cleared before the truck moves on. A Wisconsin summer gives a short, generous growing season, and the grass uses every week of it. Keeping ahead of that is most of the craft; the rest is caring how the edges look. Those are the two things anyone notices from the street.
