About Schuh Lawn Care

East of the river the ground climbs onto the escarpment ledge, and the driveways up on that rise catch the wind first and let go of their ice last. Schuh Lawn Care knows the difference between a flat lot down near the water and a sloped apron on the ridge, and plows accordingly — blade angled, the banks pushed back off the turn so the next storm has somewhere to go. Summers start early here: six in the morning, dew still heavy on Brown County clay, the mower leaving a dark line behind it and the smell of cut grass hanging in air that hasn't warmed up yet. That is the work — mowing, trimming, edging, week after week, on lawns that have to earn their green out of heavy soil. By the time the truck pulls away the lines are straight and the borders are crisp, and the yard looks like somebody meant it.
