About Bill Crist & Son Inc

Winter lays itself over the Pecatonica valley gently at first, and from Darlington's streets the courthouse dome stands pale against a pewter sky. Bill Crist & Son Inc clears that snow for Darlington, pushing it back from driveways and walks so people can get to Main Street, to work, and out to the farm roads that roll away into the hills. The marks of a finished job are plain to see: curbs found again, entrances opened wide, banks shoved well clear of the path. This town sits on a river that has tested it more than once, and it knows how to keep going; cleared pavement after a storm is part of how it does.
