Kempka Excavating

About Kempka Excavating

When High Falls Flowage goes hard and the first shanties head out from shore, Crivitz settles into its longest season. Kempka Excavating spends it moving snow: plowing driveways and lots, opening approaches, hauling and stacking whatever will not fit anywhere else. Heavy machinery earns its keep in a winter like this, because there is a point in every year when a blade alone will not do. The reward is a place that stays usable, with mail delivered, the propane truck able to turn around, nobody stuck at the end of their own drive. By the time the flowage opens again, the piles are still shrinking in the shade.
