Mike's Lawn Care

About Mike's Lawn Care

There is a week in May when Chetek turns over all at once — ice gone from the chain, boulevards greening, the whole town suddenly needing a mower. Mike's Lawn Care meets that week head-on with spring cleanups, the first cut of the season and a steady weekly rhythm that carries clear through to frost. Trimming around posts and plantings, edging along sidewalks and drives, clippings cleared off the concrete: small things that add up to a yard somebody is glad to pull into. The streets back from the water have their own character, older shade trees and tight lot lines, and the work gets fitted to them. Summer is short up here, and a well-kept lawn is one good way to hold onto it.
