About Nick's Snowplowing LLC

January in Cato is wind first, snow second — the flakes come sideways off the open fields and pile into drifts that can block a driveway twice in one night. Nick's Snowplowing runs those nights, plow lights sweeping across barn walls while the town sleeps, pushing back what the wind rebuilds. There is a stubborn joy in it: the storm does its work, and by daybreak the driveways are down to gravel and the walks are opened. Milk trucks make the farm lanes on time, and the morning goes on as if nothing happened. From Cato out toward Valders and Whitelaw, while the county rigs are still on the main roads, this truck is already in the driveways.
