Zen Snowplow

About Zen Snowplow

Four in the morning in this country is the quietest thing there is: no wind, no engines, cold enough that the snow squeaks underfoot, and now and then a green shimmer of northern lights left hanging above the treeline. Zen Snowplow keeps that hour, running driveways and lots around Boulder Junction long before anyone is awake to watch, so the first look out the window is a yard that has already been dealt with. The work has its own rhythm — down one side, back the other, snow laid off the edges, blade up, gone. No fuss at eight o'clock, nobody spinning tires at the end of the drive. Just an open way out and a day that starts on time.
