Dupont Applications

About Dupont Applications

April in Black Creek arrives as water — frost letting go, ditches running full, the fields turning from gray to a green so faint you only see it from the road at an angle. Dupont Applications reads that first light for what it is, the opening of the lawn year, and gets to work with fertilization and weed control, mowing, and the cleanup that clears winter's leftovers off the turf. Timing is most of it here; a lawn fed while the ground is still cool comes on strong by the middle of June and holds through the dry weeks after. There is a quiet pleasure in driving past in July and seeing a yard that has stopped fighting itself — even color, no bare patches, edges holding their shape. From the village streets out to the farm drives, every lawn gets treated for the soil it actually sits on.
