About A Grade Above

Dawn in the Town of Black Brook comes up over pasture and popple stands, with mist pooled in the low spots the glaciers left behind. A Grade Above starts its mowing days in that early light, working the lawns of this Polk County farm country before the heat builds. The name states the ambition plainly: cut it cleaner, edge it truer, leave the yard better than the road expects. Out here, where lawns sit wide between barns and woodlots, that difference is easy to see. They serve Black Brook and the neighboring towns of Amery, Clear Lake, and Clayton.
