About Jorge & Sons Landscaping Inc.

South of downtown the Beloit back yards tip toward the Rock River, and in late September the light coming off that water turns gold around six o'clock. Jorge & Sons Landscaping Inc. is finishing the day's route right about then — cut, trimmed, edged, clippings cleared — with fall cleanup already stacking up on the calendar. Once the leaves are hauled and the ground goes hard, the trucks change over to plowing, walkway clearing and ice control for the months that follow. Riverside lots hold the cold, and they hold ice with it, so those walks get a second look every time. Two kinds of work, one long conversation with the same piece of ground.
