2.0 Landscaping

About 2.0 Landscaping

The Beaver Dam River slides quietly under the downtown bridges, and by late August the lawns along it have gone deep and heavy with growth. 2.0 Landscaping works that second half of the season — the mow that comes back through, the edge cut fresh along a walk that had blurred into the turf. Evenings here run long and gold, and there is a particular satisfaction in shutting the trailer gate on a yard that looks like someone decided it mattered. Mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups, block by block through the city and out along the farm roads around it. Fireflies come up out of the cut grass by the time the light finally gives out.
