Quality Tree Service

About Quality Tree Service

The town of Russell runs out along the Bayfield Peninsula with sugar maple ridges above and Lake Superior below, the islands sitting off Little Sand Bay like something arranged on purpose. By October those ridges have gone orange from the highway down to the water, and the wind starts arriving from a serious direction. Quality Tree Service takes down trees that have died or turned dangerous near a cabin, trims and prunes the maples and birch that make the place what it is, and cleans up after the lake sends a storm ashore. Up here the work means gravel drives, tight clearings, and a healthy respect for what a big blow does to a shallow-rooted spruce. Come spring the yard opens to the light off the water and the woods around it stand a little surer of themselves.
