J.G. Excavating

About J.G. Excavating

Winter in Barnes comes down out of the north with real intent, burying the long drives that wind back to homes in the Chequamegon forest country. J.G. Excavating meets it with heavy equipment and an early start, while the sky above the iced-over lakes is still black. An excavating outfit understands moving earth, and in January that understanding turns to moving snow, pushed wide and piled where it will not blow back in. A drive opened before first light means a truck can roll out to the highway without a fight. Out here, that open lane through the timber is everything.
