Naturecraft Land Management

About Naturecraft Land Management

Twice a year the sandhill cranes cross over Baraboo in ragged calling lines, and everyone on the ground below stops to look up. Naturecraft Land Management works to the same calendar those birds keep, mowing, trimming and clearing debris through the green months, then plowing and salting once the valley goes quiet and white. Sauk County ground is a patchwork of sand, clay and old rock, and it rewards anybody willing to notice what a particular yard actually wants. The satisfaction lands in a property that looks composed in any light: edges held, walks open, nothing overgrown and nothing drifted shut. Land asks to be tended here, and tending is the whole job.
