About Boardman's Stump Removal & Tree Service LLC

The Baraboo Hills are old rock — quartzite that was a mountain range long before the first oak — and the town sits in a bend of the Baraboo River below them. Boardman's Stump Removal & Tree Service works the hillside yards and the flat streets in town, handling tree removal where an oak or maple has finally given out and tree trimming that keeps a crown off the roof and out of the wires. Then comes the part that truly closes a job: stump grinding, so the ground goes back to being lawn instead of a monument to what stood there. There is a particular satisfaction in raking chips level over a spot that was still a stump at breakfast. Under these bluffs, a yard that ends smooth looks like it was always that way.
