Safe Snow Removal

About Safe Snow Removal

Snow arrives in Altoona on a hard northwest wind — dry, fast, drifting across the open ground east of town long before it ever settles on a driveway. The work starts hours before the streetlights go out along Highway 53: plow down, headlights on, one lot and one drive at a time. Safe Snow Removal clears residential driveways and commercial parking lots, shovels the walks by hand where a blade cannot reach, and spreads salt and sand so the first step out the door holds. By the time the rail yard shift changes and the first cars roll west toward Eau Claire, the pavement is dark and open again. Seasonal arrangements keep the same properties covered storm after storm, straight through a Wisconsin winter.
