About Bartelt Enterprises, Inc.

Below the dam in Albany, the Sugar River can run open through the hardest cold, and on below-zero mornings it breathes a ribbon of steam up through the bare trees. A morning like that was made for Bartelt Enterprises, Inc., with snow removal that opens up the village's driveways and lots before the day gets rolling. Green County storms come sweeping over the hills, and a single night can bury the side streets before the school buses run. A drive scraped down to pavement, its banks pushed well back and squared off, is a small victory worth rising early for. Out there in the steam and stillness, the work is almost peaceful.
