About Valencia Lawn Services

September in Zillah smells like harvest dust and, for a few minutes after the sprinklers run, like wet grass. Valencia Lawn Services works the evenings then, when the vineyard rows south toward the Yakima River are going gold at the tips and the light turns long and orange. Lawns have been through a hard summer by that point, and a steady mow, a tight trim and a recut edge bring them back into focus fast. The clippings come off the walks and the driveway, and a yard that looked tired at four looks composed by seven. In a valley this dry, a well-kept lawn reads like an oasis, and that never stops being satisfying.
