About Garwood's Lawn & Tree Service

The Garry oaks that hold on around Yelm turn late and drop stubbornly, and the fir line along the back of a prairie lot lets its needles go all season long. Garwood's Lawn & Tree Service mows straight through the fall, when the cool rain keeps the grass growing, gathering the leaf litter as it goes. October light here is low and gold by four in the afternoon, and a lawn cleared of leaves under it looks like it has been put in order for the winter. Trimming and edging still happen in the wet months, because a soft, blurred border is what makes a yard look forgotten. Yelm lawns stay green all winter; keeping them looking it is mostly a matter of showing up.
