Roots Nursery & Landscape

About Roots Nursery & Landscape

Some winter mornings Yakima wakes inside a cloud, the valley sealed beneath a gray inversion while the ridgetops above stand in sunshine. When snow does fall through that cold, still air, Roots Nursery & Landscape, a nursery and landscape business, clears it from driveways and walks around town. The work begins while streetlights still glow orange in the fog and the fresh snow lies untracked and squeaking with cold. Each drive opened to bare pavement and each walk scraped clean makes for steadier footing on a day when the sun may never break through. For a business that spends its warmer months among plants, winter means helping the city keep moving until spring.
