About North West Arbor LLC

In the Barge-Chestnut blocks off Nob Hill Boulevard, the old shade trees, elm and sycamore mostly, planted long before the newer subdivisions ever broke ground, drop enough limb litter each winter that a plowed driveway can look cluttered again within a day. North West Arbor works those tree-lined streets carefully, clearing snow around root heaves and low branches that a less careful blade would catch. The historic houses here tend toward narrow driveways and detached garages set back from the street, so much of the clearing gets done by hand, shovel work under a canopy that blocks enough sun to keep the shade patches icy longest. Once the driveways are clear, the crew checks the sidewalks along the boulevard itself, brushing snow off the roots that buckle the concrete every few yards. It's slow, attentive work under those old trees, but the payoff is a driveway and walk clear beneath branches that shade half the block.
