About Ramo's Landscaping Service

In Woodland the spring comes up the Lewis River first, all mist and sudden green, and by the time the lilacs open at Hulda Klager's gardens the grass has already gotten ahead of everybody. Ramo's Landscaping Service works in that window — mowing on the days between rains, edging clean lines along walks and driveways, trimming the corners a mower can never quite reach. The reward is simple and it never wears out: a lawn cut in even rows, the clippings blown off the concrete, a whole yard suddenly reading as tended. Summer dries the valley floor and asks for a different rhythm, and autumn asks for leaves gathered up before the river fog moves in for the winter. Every yard on this bend of the river gets the same attention, whether it's a wide lot out toward the bottomland or one small square of green behind a house on the hill.
