About Krieger's Stump Removal Inc

When a hard freeze grips Horseshoe Lake and the cleared timber ground north of town goes stiff and white, Krieger's Stump Removal turns from cutting roots to cutting paths through snow. The crew grew up working the same bottomland soil, so they know which driveways along Dike Road drift deepest against the tree lines. Nights are for the commercial lots near the I-5 interchange, plows running late so the lumber yards and feed stores open clear at first light. Mornings belong to the residential streets closer to downtown, where cedar-shake roofs shed snow onto walkways that need clearing before anyone steps out for coffee at the corner store. It is unglamorous work, done low and steady, but a shoveled path to somebody's front door on a fifteen-degree morning matters more than it sounds.
