About Zapps Tree & Yard Services

Autumn arrives in Vancouver on an east wind out of the Gorge, and by first light the big-leaf maples along Burnt Bridge Creek have let go of another night's worth of gold. Zapps Tree & Yard Services works those mornings — mowing, edging, string trimming, and carrying the leaf drop off lawns from Hazel Dell to Orchards before the rain can pack it flat. There is a particular satisfaction in a clean edge cut along a wet sidewalk, the line holding dark and straight while the grass beside it stands up green. Even in the gray months this ground keeps growing, so a yard tended through the drizzle is ready on the morning Mount St. Helens finally shows itself again on the north horizon. Lawn by lawn, that is the work.
