East of Minnehaha the ground still remembers the orchards — the prune and filbert rows that gave Orchards its name — and the soil under these yards is the same generous stuff. By late August the open lawns have gone gold and brittle; then the first real October rain sweeps through and the whole neighborhood turns green inside a week. Miky's Landscaping runs the year around that swing: mowing and edging on a regular turn, trimming, shrub and hedge work, fresh mulch in the beds, and hauling off what the season leaves behind. There is craft in reading which yards need the blade raised and which are still growing hard. Handled attentively, a lawn never looks rescued — it just looks like it has been that way all along.
