Jack’s Garden Rescue

About Jack’s Garden Rescue

Every February in Vancouver there is a yard that has gotten away from somebody — moss creeping in from the shady side, grass gone shaggy and flat, the walk narrowed by a season of growth nobody had time to stop. Jack's Garden Rescue exists for that phone call. The first visit is the long one: the grass brought back down in stages, the edges recut until the walk is its full width again, the trimming done along every fence and bed, and all of it carted off. What follows is the easy part — a regular mow that never lets it slide that far again. There is a particular satisfaction in the before-and-after of a single afternoon, and in a homeowner walking out to a yard they recognize.
