Midday on the cul-de-sacs behind Cascade Park, the lawns run one into the next with almost no fence between them, which means a single crooked cut is visible from four driveways. Green Pro Landscape works that geometry carefully: straight lines on the open turf, a clean edge where grass meets concrete, and trimming close around mailboxes, posts and hydrant collars. The east side of Vancouver was laid out all at once and grows in all at once too, so a route through it is really one long lawn with different owners. Summer here is bright and dry enough that mowing height becomes a real decision, and the fall is long enough that clearing what drops is half the job. Yards on this side of town get looked at all day by everyone who lives here — and that is a good reason to leave each one square.
