About Danshap Landscaping and Excavation inc.

Out by the refuge at Ridgefield the flats fill with water each winter and the cranes come through calling, and the lawns nearby sit low and wet for months at a stretch. Danshap Landscaping and Excavation inc. works that heavy ground: mowing when it will bear weight, aerating to let it breathe, overseeding the bare places, edging beds and walks so the shape holds. Wet soil punishes shortcuts and rewards patience. By June those same yards are firm and deep green and mow like carpet. Getting them there is the interesting part of the year.
