East toward Lacamas the ground turns to basalt under a thin skin of soil, and every spring the runoff finds its way through it, loud and cold. Boulder Falls Landscape works with that kind of ground rather than against it — mowing the thin high spots at a height that keeps roots shaded, aerating and overseeding where the turf gave up, feeding it, edging beds so the lines stay legible.
