About Mario's Landscaping Inc

By August the rain has stepped back and University Place goes gold at its edges, the heritage rows at Curran Apple Orchard heavy with fruit and every parking strip crisping in the dry stretch. Mario's Landscaping Inc works those long afternoons: mowing high so the roots keep a little shade, cutting the concrete back to a straight line, trimming the corners no mower will ever reach. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass of the day, when the clippings are blown off the drive and the yard sits even and quiet in the heat. Come the September rains it all greens again overnight, and the work turns toward cleanups and keeping the growth in hand. Same town, same yards, a different job every month of the year.
