About Azteca Lawn & Care / Landscaping Services

Union Gap takes its name from the notch the Yakima River cut between Ahtanum Ridge and the hills east of it, and in July all that basalt holds the heat well past dark. Azteca Lawn & Care / Landscaping Services works the valley floor below, mowing, edging, trimming and keeping the clippings off the walks and the gravel. Grass here lives on irrigation, so timing a cut around watering days is half the craft; go too short under this sun and a lawn scorches by Thursday. Left at the right height it stays green in a landscape that is otherwise sage and rock. The early hours are the good ones, before the wind starts moving through the gap.
