About Areté Home Services of Olympia

Fog fills the Deschutes valley most October mornings, low enough that the Capitol dome across the water shows up before the street does. Areté Home Services of Olympia starts its Tumwater rounds in that grey, with a mower, a trimmer and a blower for the wet leaves stuck flat to the walk. Grass here keeps growing long after summer quits, so autumn work is mostly about keeping a yard from slipping away in the damp. The payoff comes around ten, when the lid lifts and the lawn is standing up in clean rows with its borders cut sharp again. It is a small thing, but it makes the whole house look awake.
